My initial Massachusetts UI benefits expire this coming Saturday ( 26 weeks total ). I already called to apply for the next level which is the EUC Tier 1. They added another 3 weeks onto the schedule for my initial UI benefits ( to total 29 weeks ) but dropped the weekly pay by $100 and said they will now also be taking out federal taxes so now my total weekly check is $131 less per week than it has been the past 26 weeks. They said after the 3 weeks is up it will automatically be extended at the same new lower rate ($131 less ) for another 14 weeks.

I thought an EUC extension would give me the same rate as the initial first 26 weeks. My weekly rate has decreased overnight with no warning at all. Does your weekly compensation dollar amount drop randomly the longer you are on benefits or was this a mistake? Also, I thought Tier 1 of EUC was for 20 weeks and not 14 like they told me.
