A friend is currently collecting Georgia Unemployment Benefits but also applied for and has been approved to receive Social Security Disability Benefits.

Is my friend eligible to received both Unemployment and Social Security Benefits at the same time?

Should my friend notify the Unemployment Office that Social Security Disability has been approved and will be received?

Hi...I have been employed with the same company since Feb 2010 and have discovered things at my workplace that I dont want to be a part of...specifically the owners engaging in fraudulent merchandise returns of expired product. Instead of known lossing the products, they will make up fake names fake addresses of fake customers and then put the products through as returns so that they receive reimbursement. I have documented this with pictures and video but I really dont want to work for them anymore..however, I can't afford to stop working. Is it possible for me to receive unemployment if I were to resign or quit? thanks

“I am calling from ACSI, a not-for-profit organization with HQ in Colorado. We have employees in your state. Can you tell us if we are exempt from unemployment? If we are exempt, can you provide confirmation? If we are not exempt, are we at least registered in your state? If we are not registered, how do we do that?”

Thank you for your assistance,
Blessings
