my employer just told me I would have to go on split shift because of finacial reasons,I would'nt mind doing that, but I live 30 miles from work and would only be making 6 hrs a day.finacially for me this would not work...120 miles a day the gas alone would eat up my paycheck.am I eligable for unemployment under these circumstances?

Currently working as a Full-time Consultant Employee working less than 40 hours.. Been in this postion since Sept. 2011. My last work day was 2/17/12 (Currently on standby have not worked since) My employer informed me I am being layed off this week 2/28/12 due to no more work availability. Questions are:

1. May I still apply for unemployment if so how soon?

2. If I were to be approved for unemployment benefits. then rehired again with the same company, follow by another lay off two months down the line, Will I still be elegible for unemployement again? Or is there a waiting period to re-apply?

Thank you.

If i quit my job due to a change in hire conditions, hostile work environment, and disciplinary action being taken against me for not having adequate childcare to work unpaid overtime, could I receive unemployment benefits?

I worked for a company for six month when I was let go and replaced by a certified public accountant, eventhough the employer know that I was not a CPA when I was hired. Would I be elegible for unemployement?
