Sometimes you just have to talk to a live person to get answers to your questions. In that case, you can call the CO Unemployment Phone Number: Toll Free: 1-800-388-5515

Be prepared for long wait times because lots of people are trying to do the same thing that you are. Be patient and you will get through to someone that can help you. Even though it is frustrating to wait so long, please be courteous to the person you get connected to and you will get a lot more help than if you are terse and rude. The staffers on the other line are over-worked and are doing everything they can to help all of the people that are contacting them.

When you call the CO unemployment phone number, make sure that you have the following information:

1. Social security number.
2. Dates of employment.
3. A pen or pencil, and paper - to take notes.

It is ridiculous that we are unable to EVER get through the offices to discuss our matter with you. Your call center manager needs to be fired - email me as I know for a fact I am able to do a much BETTER job!!! - I am attempting to contact any and all agencies to report this incompetence.

I signed up for unemployment 8 weeks ago. I have not received a pin so that I can go on to cubline and continue signing up for benefits.... I have been on hold 6 different times for a minimum of 2 hrs and 26 mins... I have tried 9 different phone numbers and nothing... not sure what to do. I have been a hard worker for the last 15 years and have never needed help. I am struggling now and can not seem to get any answers. PLEASE HELP!

Your phone system is a joke who doesn't have a holding system? I have been calling for 4 weeks and have not gotten through once. I sure would like to know why I was able to get 2 payments but then you cut me off. This is ridiculous.

I accidentally filed a day early and my benefits have been shut off, the website said if what I did was in error I was to call and have it turned back on, but it is impossible to get through!

I was working full time and then my pregnancy became high risk so now I am working from home. When I started working from home I was working 15 hours a week or so and planning to come back to work full time after being released from bed rest. My employer has hired someone to replace me and says we will work out the hours once I am able to come back. Today I got an email from her that I can now only work from home 1 hour a day for a total of 5 hours a week. I feel like she is just keeping me on the min payroll to avoid firing me and this seems unfair. I would make so much more money collecting unemployment. Please let me understand if I have a legitimate claim here. I have saved all her emailes explaining things, so I have documentation supporting what I am saying.

I have been working at a company for 7 years. They brought on a new manager who is micromanaging me and criticising everything I do by email constantly. This has become an extremely negative and stressful environment and I am unable to continue working there under these circumstances. This is a case of a bullying personality that is not going to change. I am under such stress that I must leave. Is this change in my working situation acceptable as a reason to have to leave the job and receive unemployment?

I literally waited on the phone for almost exactly 2 hours this morning. I have a 2 simple questions. I use to be able to wait on the phone now it just kicks you out every time. This an absolute nightmare. Why why why was that system changed?!?!?! I would rather wait for eturnity than have to start over and over and over and literally waste my minutes!!!. . . ,

I cannot believe I called exactly at 7:30am and was on hold for an hour and could not talk to anyone because I got hung up on..... Wow!!!! Unbelievable how the government will go above and beyong to get something from you, but when it comes time to service us, it is of not concern of them to give good service...

I was on hold tor 3 hrs the other day and never got a live person. They deactivated my claim because I didn't request payment one week....but the system would not let me which is why I was calling in the first place. Crazy. I don't know what to do....sitting on hold for days on end is not an option.

I've been laid off twice during the Obama administration. The first time over two years ago I had the same problems as the posters above - wasn't even able to get through - got a "self-service menu" or when I got through had to wait so long it then hung up on me. Over two years later NOTHING HAS CHANGED. With unemployment skyrocketing they couldn't hire more customer service people?!?! Who the heck is running customer service?! I need to let them know about my severance that just came through but can't get through to a live person to let them know. I cannot believe they are still in this unacceptable state. I'm blown away by the lack of help - HIRE AND TRAIN MORE PEOPLE for the love of God. It's bad enough being laid off without having to deal with this.

I went to an appeal meeting 2 weeks ago and want to know when Im going to know something When I look on the ui claimant information it says im approved and when I call it says my benefits are exhausted Please let me know something I can't wait I need money now. and Need to apply for Emergency Unemployeement.

I was originally disqualified for benefits but have since appealed and according to Cubline have funds available to me. However I have not received a card to access my money. The phone number for this is a joke as it doesn't give me an option to get a replacement card and of course I can't get through to UI Customer Service. I need to access these funds ASAP!!! Help

On the Pensions and Retirement Questionnaire:
I was forced into early retirement by being laid off.
1.0 Have a stock investment plan
1.1 My company contributed to
1.2 Will NOT withdraw
2.0 Company pension
2.1 Accepted reduced monthly payment for term of my life

Help needed on Questionaire
1. "Type of Payment" ?
2. "Total Payment Amount" ?
3. "In What Manner Is Pension or Retirement Paid"
I put:
Series of payment - monthly - Starting date - monthly amount
4. "Indicate What You Intend To Do With Retirement Pay":
If I put: Do Not Reinvest - Then says I will create an overpayment for the weeks I receive a pension payment?

As I understand the requirements, since I was forced to retire due to a layoff, I am entitled to unemployment.

Is anyone else having issues with their payment not being direct deposted today 1/23/2013? My payment was processed yesterday 1/22/2013. It is always deposited two days after filing, I figured it wouldn't be deposited until today since Monday 1/21/2013 was a holiday which would have been two days after filing considering the holiday. Any help would be great with this issue. Also I have been trying to talk someone and of course all agents are busy due to a high call volume but that is all the time. So I was seeing if I could get some help or knowledge from this.

UTAH has 5-15 minuite wait times, and I was able to ALWAYS end up with a human when I needed one to help.
3 hours later to the Colorado Unemployment office....... nothing but auto-phone bots.

I have been working for a company for almost 6 months. Three times in the last 2 months my paycheck was delayed because of lack of funds. I believe this company is not going to last. Are unemployment benefits available to me if I leave this company to seek other employment?

I have been unemployed twice this past year in 2012. My old claim from my first job expired, so I filed a second claim. It's now been 2-3 months since I filed the information and it's still showing as pending information from my two jobs. This information was already collected from my first claim and I confirmed it with a gentlemen from your office as well. He had stated that because the system is somewhat automated that it had inaccurately assessed my situation and that it should be cleared up soon as all of the requested documentation, etc. was already in place. That was a week ago. I have bills to pay and it's becoming a bit frustrating. I'm actively searching for a job, but I do have two children to support in the interim. I am now on hold again for another hour to see what is the continued hold up with my claim. I need this cleared up immediately. Also, improving the phone line and the excessive wait time would probably eliminate a lot of issues that people experience. No one wants automated. Automation is what has caused this issue to arise in my case and I'm sure it would've been easily handled with a live person on line.

Hello~ this is my 2nd comment. I incorrectly entered an answer on my pay request questions and was verbally directed to call a number within 96 hours. (this occurred yesterday at 8:00 pm. I was unable to capture the number and need the number. Could someone please, assist with a phone number to get this corrected. This is holding up my payment. Thank you

Colorado UE has become a mess. Heaven help anyone who gets a glitch and need to speak to someone. What finally worked for me (on the 3rd attempt) was the 303-318-3000 number and, instead of putting in my PIN putting in "1111". It finally came back saying my acct was now locked and put me on hold for a CSR....Good luck..
