My unemployment claim status just changed to 'approved' from 'pending approval' this morning. Does this mean I'll start receiving benefits now?

My status was postponed because I had taken out some of my retirement money out of my pera. My claim is open now and I was wondering do I just start receiving my weekly benifit amount or will it go back and pay me for all the weeks before that I had to request payment?? thank you

If I may ask, how much did you withdraw from your PERA and how many weeks did you have to wait for your payments to be reinstated? I just received the same claim status and I took money out of PERA as well.

Do they retro pay you for the lost time? My last day of work as Sep 5,2011 and I tried to find work but could not. I just filed for benefits and a friend mentioned they might penalize me for a week or two, but would retro pay me back to that time. Is this correct?
