I couldn't find any information on this questions, so the best thing is to ask your manager or H.R. Department.

It sounds to me like you got laid-off.
I would go ahead and file for unemployment if you need the assistance.

There is not a minimum number of hours, but rather a certain amount of money that you had to make in your 'base period' in order to be eligible for unemployment.
If you are currently working part-time it is unlikely that you will be able to collect unemployment unless you were working full-time and subsequently had your hours or hourly wages reduced.

Thanks
-Thank you
I just got laid off from my part time job today due to "decreased work volume."
My question is I am a part time student as well, will I be able to get unemployment? I live in Wyoming
I am going to be laid off from my primary (35+ hrs/ week) job as of 1/28/10; however, I do have another secondary job in which I only work about 7.5hrs/ week so I am wondering whether ot not I would qualify for unemployment benefits here in Michigan or not because of the fact that I do have that other job that I work 1 day per week?
Is there a specific amount of time you have to be working for to file for unemployment?
I live in California, do I qualify for unemployment? Before working at this company I worked part time at a different company.
Thank You.
