On my unemployment denial letter it stated that if I got a job and earned $1050 and got laid off I would be eligble for benefits. My question is does this require me to work in the state of Kansas only or can I go out of state to find work and still be elegible for benefits in Kansas? Thank You

I was fired from my job for posting my resume on a job site. My husband is out of work and I was looking for a second job as extra income. They stated that if I was searching for other employment I was no longer going to perform in the best intrest of the company. Would I be eligable for unemployment?

I recently accepted a job 4 hours away from my home in Wichita. Since then I have gotten divorced and my son has gotten sick. I am wanting to stay with my son but can't afford to do so unless there are any circumstances that would allow me to collect unemployment if I am to quit my job. Any help on the matter would be appreciated greatly as I can't afford to waste any more time.

I am considering quitting my job. I've been looking for a new job for the past year but have not had any luck yet. I want to know if I will still qualify for unemployment if I quit.
In the 1.5 years I've been here 4 out of 7 employees have been fired and replaced including my boss. I've had to deal with a horrible admin who has temper problems and has even gotten into a scream match with me which was reported to HR and she was finally terminated two months later. My current manager has serious trust issues, always talks about people behind their backs, continuously falsely accuses people of not doing their job or doing things behind her back and constantly gets into arguments with vendors and customers.
I feel like my work environment is full of negativity and very hostile. I've addressed my concerns to upper management and HR but all they tell me to do is be patient and hang in there with very little remorse for what I and my colleagues have to put up with.
Would you consider my situation enough cause to qualify for unemployment?

I worked at my job for a year then took maternity leave for a month when I had my son. There was some complications with my son and we had to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks so I asked my boss for a little more time. I was told to call when I was ready to come back but the office was shut down a week later. That was 6 months ago I have tried to file but can't find the official site to do so.

I've worked at my job for ten months, I do not have any benefits at all.(I.E paid time off, sick leave or vacation). I hurt my back while performing the duties of my job. I called my boss to report that I was going to the doctor because I hurt my back. He informed me that I was off the project because my back would not heal while working on this project. He has no other jobs I can do. I am now left sitting with out pay or medical assistance. What can I do?

If you quit your job, can you file for unemployment right away? or is there a mandatory waiting period? Does it depend upon the reason surrounding your leaving the job?
