Pennsylvania Unemployment Weekly Claim

In order to keep receiving an unemployment check every week you must file a weekly claim, also known as a weekly certification or continued claim.

The purpose of filing a weekly claim is to tell the unemployment agency that you:

1. Are currently looking for work.
2. Have not done any work this week.
3. Have not made any money this week (unless you are allowed to by the terms of your unemployment.)
4. Have not found another job.
5. Want to receive an unemployment check or payment this week.

Therefore, it is very important to file your weekly claim every week to keep receiving your unemployment check.

If you delay in filing your weekly claim, you may not get your unemployment check on time.

I tried filing online and we ended up having a pretty good storm that knocked power down to my area. After numerous days without power the time expired for me to file. I have been trying to call in and find out if there is anything I can do but every phone number I have tried gives me only a busy signal. Is there any way to get those two weeks reopened or am I SOL?

I extended the end of September. I waited the "waiting week" as instructed. The representative told me to file on October 7th. I'm still waiting for the payment. I cannot contact anyone. I checked the website and it said I successfully completed the biweekly claim. I tried calling and all I got was a busy signal

I filed by biweekly claim. How do I know if it had been processed? I have been filing for a couple weeks now but this time I noticed that is says more information is needed to call a number that was provided. I tried to call but it was the weekend and they were closed. I'm not sure if that message was on all of the confirmation pages that I have received. This week it says it was processed, told me when to file again and some other information along with more information is needed. I don't know what to do because I had to closed the page and lost the number. Please help I don't know If I have to call them before I receive my check.
