North Carolina Unemployment Phone Number

Sometimes you just have to talk to a live person to get answers to your questions. In that case, you can call the NC Unemployment Phone Number: Toll Free: 1-877-841-9617

My unemployment for 2011 was from the state of CA. NOT from NC. Therefore, my question is, do I still have to file NC state taxes on the unemployment income that I received from another state? The reason I ask, is because if I had selected for taxes to be removed from the check, the state of CA would have been receiving that money not NC. I've already spoken with CA state tax board and they have confirmed that I DO NOT have to file state taxes for them because it would only have been subtracted from any other income. I did not work at all in 2011. Please help.

I have been laid off by my employer. I have started an llc home inspection business for myself but I believe it will take a while to start making much money. Am I eligible for collecting unemployment?

Can a worker quit and receive unemployment based on their employer treating them in a harassing detrimental manner because of a error on the employees part and delivering that treatment personally at their home instead of place of business?
