New Jersey Unemployment Website

Here is the link to the NJ Website:

http://lwd.dol.state.nj.us/labor/ui/ui_index.html

The official name for it is the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development website.

This is the only official New Jersey unemployment site, and the only one that you should submit your application to. UnemploymentHandbook.com has lots of great information, so be sure to click around to get lots of great tips on getting a job, and figuring out NJ unemployment, but we are not affiliated with the state of New Jersey, and UnemploymentHandbook.com is not the official New Jersey unemployment website.

Hello, I had to quit my job after seven years because I had to relocate to another state to care for my father who has alzheimers for the past nine years and is getting worse and he has noone to care for him. Im wondering if I am eligible to collect unemployment benefits for a few months. Just until i can take care of his personal business and find a home for him.

after returning from a medical leave with medical certification by a phycisian and collecting state disability benefits. I was offered a job but the pay structure changed from hourly to commission, I dont think they did this to all employees who perform my job in the dept I work in, because of commission there is no way of telling how much I will make or if I will even make minimum wage, if I decline the position based on the pay cut/change witll that disqualify me from collecting unemployment? because I will be accepting a commission based pay, this I believe disqualifies me from being eligible for unemployment in the future, btw I feel they are doing this intentiionally to force a quit and hope that I dont accept it so they dont have to pay unemployment. what they offered me is below the normal standard for an experienced person who has proven myself by winning awards for thier company which were published in a communtiy magazine earning them recognition for thier company, I feel they are offering me unacceptable pay based on my experience and know that in hope that I decline the offer, if I decline will it disqualify me from recieving unemployment benefits?
