New Jersey Unemployment Office

Sometimes it is difficult to get through to the NJ unemployment phone number, or you have questions that the website just can't answer, so you have to go to talk to someone face to face at the NJ unemployment office.
There is probably a NJ unemployment office in your town or county. Most states have one in every county. Be prepared though. Many people are applying for unemployment at the same time, and your local New Jersey unemployment office could be very crowded, and you might have to wait in long lines in order to see someone.
Here are some tips when going to the NJ unemployment office:
1. Go early. Be there at least 1 hour before the office opens.
2. Dress appropriately. It will be very hot in the summer, and very cold in the winter. Dress appropriately for the temperature and time of year.
3. Pack a lunch. You will probably have to wait a long time in line, and will probably get hungry. Pack a lunch and bring lots of water to drink to stay hydrated.
4. Bring your medicine. If you take medications that you can't miss - make sure you bring all of the medicine that you will have to take for that day, just in case you are there all day long.
5. Bring a pen or pencil. You will need one to fill out the application and to take notes.

Thank You
Thx

The problem is - the system did not give me a pin number. What do i do?
Thanks,
Pat
I just filed an NJ UI claim via the Internet, however, I wasn't prompted to set a PIN or the site displayed any information on how to obtain/reset a PIN. After filing the claim, unfortunately, I had to speak with someone at DOL to clarify my claim. When I called my local RCC number, I was asked for the PIN number. Thinking that I perhaps missed the PIN information while submitting the claim, I searched over the Internet looking for a way to recover it. However, after reading numerous posts, it is clear you're not given option to select a PIN when you file a claim over the Internet. Or have ability to recover/reset a PIN over the Internet. After playing around with number of different options on RCC call line, I was finaly able to get a PIN.
After calling RCC call line, I entered Continue Unemployment Benefit(option 3), and then entered my SS#. It recognized that I've not selected a PIN yet, and provided an option to create a PIN.
I hope this helps others since, unfortunately, NJ DOL is not able to provide clear and concise direction on this topic.
WHAT DO I DO?!!!!!!!!
I am thinking of going directly to an unemployment office to find out what the hell happened to the money that is "paid"???? This is insane.
