I lost my job in March in Detroit. I moved to another state in April. I received a few thousand dollars of unemployment in June through August. Then I found a job and stopped getting Michigan unemployment insurance.

Question: How do I treat the unemployment insurance for state tax purposes (BOTH STATES)? Both states require income tax.
