How do I report an employer who is misclassifying all of its employees as independent contractors so as to avoid paying Maryland state unemployment fees?

If a family qualifies for unemployment, can their children still attend pre-school? Is there monetary assistance for the family, since they will not be able to afford the cost of sending the child to pre-school.

I know of someone who is working under the table making over 10.00 an hr and she is in the process of trying to collect unemployment wich she walked out of her job in the first place now there having court hearings but they don't know she is working. Is this fraud? Can I report her? And how?

I’m not receiving dependent benefits (which I believe is $8 per child in the state of Maryland). I don’t understand why this amt is not added to my bi-weekly UI check. Can someone please explain in detail why I am not receiving it? When I applied for UI benefits, I made it aware that I have one dependent, under the age of 18 who I have full custody of. The lady I spoke to on the phone didn’t really have a true understanding. I’m hoping someone will be able to assist me and help me possibly collect my dependent care UI benefits.

I'm currently hired as prn and about two weeks ago i developed an illness with difficulty breathing and cant do anything without shortness of breath the doctor put me off work for two months or until we can find out whats going on am i elgible to file for temp unemployment during this time my job is not safe cause i only qualify for loa . Thank you

I was laid off and applied the UI last week,at the same time I got the email which confirmed my application. but i have not got any mail or phone call from UI office yet. How long i need to wait to know if i am approved to have UI or not? Should i call the office or just wait more time.

I am 69 retired from my original job of 40 years and on SS I am working part time in retail business. If I loose my job by layoff or closed business can I still get Unemployment compensation.
