Louisiana Unemployment Rules

In order to receive unemployment benefits in Louisiana you must follow these rules:

1. You must be able to work, and are not disabled.
2. You must be actively looking for a job, and keeping a record of your job search.
3. You must file a weekly certification.
4. You must not make more than your weekly wage allowance. In some cases, you will be able to work while collecting unemployment - but only so much per week. Make sure when you apply for unemployment that you are very clear about how much you are able to earn each week. Your unemployment counselor will be able to tell you how much this is.

As long as you follow these Louisiana unemployment rules, you will continue to receive your unemployment benefits.

How does temp work affect the unemployment benefit? In particular, if you are currently receiving the benefit, and you take a temp job that lasts 1 or 2 months, what happens after? Does your unemployment benefit just pick up where it left off? Do you have to file for new benefits?

If I had lived in Louisiana but now lives in Texas how do I change my address on my unemployment to forward my W-2 form to where I live now. Or can I just print it off instead of waiting for it to be mailed.

If u got laid off a job,but only work the job for 2 1/2month and the job before that u work 3 years but quit that job for the job you got laid off can u get unemp .
