I have a question, I am a school bus driver, i was getting benefits when I wasn't working during the summer. I didn't report immediately when i went back and has to pay it back. I have paid the amount back in full, but now they say I have 39 penalty weeks in which I can't receive it. My question is, what can I do to get emergency benefits, summer break is coming up and I won't have any income for 3 months. And is the money that I have contributed still during my penalty weeks still there and I can get it after the 39 weeks? Is there any way I can write a statement or try to reapply? I really need assistance when Im not working during the summer. Is there any other program I can try to apply for?
