Hello,
I have been trying to contact a local unemployment office for over a week now and have had no luck getting through. I completely understand you are busy, but would really like to speak with a representative who can answer some questions about my unemployment benefits. I am trying to stay calm, however I wasn't informed I would have to apply for an extension midway through my benefit year and I wanted to know what the process was for that. My benefit year is til June 5, 2011 however as of yesterday all income has been exhausted? I know President Obama approved the bill for extensions- so how do I fix this or apply for an extension/ or qualify? Could someone please email me a number or call me directly as soon as possible? Thanks..
Sincerely,
Rachel

Same here! I finally got the initial claim information, however when ever I call I get the whole "all customers service reps are busy." The one time I got through the girl was so rude and hung up on me when I was trying to ask a question. I have tried filing online but when I enter the security codes it always tells me I am entering them in wrong. Anyone else have this problem? I have been trying to get ahold of someone since the beginning of June. Anyone else have this problem?

How do you get through? This is ridiculous. They won't let me file by internet, but then why can't you get through on the phone. This is ridiculous

I recently quit my job due to an unprofessional boss, which I know I don't qualify for unemployment, but I was let go by a previous job and didn't collect. So I was wondering can I collect unemployment from that previous job?

Yesterday (OCT 5,11) was my last day on Leave without pay(LWOP) started on (Sep 7, 11) on a GS Federal Government position. I have been applying for Federal Government position pertaining to my qualifications on line and also local jobs in my area on line and in person, since relocating to the Big Island of Hawaii and it has been a month, with only 2 interviews and I as still waiting for a response from one of them. Please advise what are the procedures in order for me to file for unemployment, as I have NEVER been without a job and its actually frustrating, coming home and not being hired with the qualifications I do have.

It is awful how they treat us! I call multiple times daily and after keeping you on hold for 20 mins. you get a recorded voice saying: busy try later.
Is anyone actually working there?
Is there a federal number you can call or complain to?

I cannot get through the toll free number. It keeps auto hanging up on me automatically. I am reading you can file claims online now. Is that true? How would you do it?

So im a little frustrated because ive been trying to call everyday numerous times in order to get through to a service rep because I have important questions about my unemployment. First off , I am currently on temporary unemployment because my job is going through renovations. For the first week that the renovations started, I only worked approximately 7-8 hours in the week just to help clean up before the renovations began, yet for some reason, it is saying im disqualified for having made more money than my benefit amount, but that is completely not the case. Not sure who made the mistake but im not about to lose out on that weeks pay because of it. Also , now for the second week i filed , its calling that week the waiting period when the first week shouldve been my waiting period. Anyway, I also wanted to point out how flawed the automated phone system is. For one, there is not an option to go straight to a customer service rep. What if im not tryin to file a claim? Not only that but even when u do get through and are put on hold, the thing always just says "all of our customer service reps are busy please call back later" why not just put me on hold? I understand your busy and it will take awhile..a longg while. But id rather be on hold and get through, than be told to call back later and never get through. The whole system is just ridiculous. I have been very patient, but but now this whole thing is going through without any of my issues being resolved, or any of my questions answered.

Please only call when you have to..
There is a weslth of info online, answering most of your questions.
In this case I need a pin or to have it changed.
.Im out of state so I cant file weekly certs online.

When I call, I call all of the numbers available. I try a minimum of 100 times per day, beginning from when they open to before they close.
Most times doing this, I get through within the week.
I dont feel sorry for anyone that says they called several times.
Its a job getting unemployment from Hi, so get to work!

i file my first claim on 05/20/13. & im supposed to get my first check on the first or second week of June. I was just wondering how come it says pending on claim inquiry. Then when i press details it says:

PENDING OCC/UNION CODE OR DETERMINATION ON WORK REGISTRATION
PENDING DECISION FOR FAILURE TO SUBMIT REQUIRED ID.

Did i not submit something thats needs to be submitted? Please lmk. I'm already behind on bills. I don't want this be another set back. Thank you for your time :)
