The 1-800-204-2418 is totally worthless. I finally got a real person on the phone that stated my file was locked and I need to call back and press prompt #2. Prompt #2 rings twice and then hangs up.

Last time I had this problem I called the Governors office and they resolved the problem.

As with most things in this god-awful state..this is yet another exercise in frustration...call and call, either busy or you get hung up on...is this just another way for the state to screw its residents...AND, they have removed the ability to use ANY DEBIT card..so we are screwed even more having to wait for a STATE VISA card...CRAZY

Woulod you please answer a question about my unemployment situation? I have been with the same company since July 2009, but relocated from North Carolina to Florida January 3, 2011. A reorganization is taking place now where I may loose my job or be transferred 90 miles away. (1) Is 13 months in Florida long enough to claim unemployment in Florida, and (2) would turning-down a transfer 90 miles away waive unemployment benefits?

I have been receiving benefits and claiming my weeks and my job searches. I was notified on 3/30/2012 that I had been hired for a job I had interviewed with and I started on 4/2/2012. I claimed my previous two weeks on the 2nd since I was not working those weeks and still eligible for my unemployment compensation. Will I get paid for those two weeks? Thank you.

I have reason to believe that my employer will soon have to shut down the company. Several months ago I paid for a Thursday through Monday trip out of the country. If I cancel the trip, I would lose a substantial amount of money.
Assuming I become unemployed prior to that trip, I would not want to do anything that would jeopardize my unemployment benefits. Would it be best to apply for unemployment after I return from the trip?

That phone number completely doesn't work. It is an athomatic system, and there is no one to answer any questions. Two weeks ago I got a job but pay is on the delay, and I am still waiting about 6 weeks for my state benefits.

The 1-800-204-2418 number is useless, cannot get through even when you call at 8:00 am. It hangs up after the message and tells you to call back. I have been trying for a week to get through. I was given my final payment and need to know what to do next since I don't have a job and I'm honestly seeking employment. Please help.

FLUID says I have money in there, but I haven't been paid in over FOUR weeks. I call, and call, and CALL the 1-800 number. I used the email assistance form found on the website. Haven't heard back from anyone, and damn sure can't reach anyone by phone. Seriously pi$$ed off for obvious reasons, folks! I've been unemployed a year and haven't had not the first interview. Ready to get a tiny Class B rv and give my home state the finger :(

I understand how madening it is. I know this phone number is horrible but when you get the reply that says that says to call back, just hang up the phone and dial them back directly, it may take 15 times but eventually you will get thru to a message that says your current wait time is 17 minutes or more. I keep my speaker phone on and do housework in the same room until I hear them answer. I know that sounds ridiculous but if your'e desperate for an answer I have called them and spoke to them 4 times a week this year, they say all payments are botched up right now with some computer problem they hope to have resolved by this weekend. something to do with rescreening as the new year is just starting. good luck.

I submitted claim over 4 weeks ago and have not received a nickel or any assistance for that matter as of yet. When I submitted weeks online the system freezes every time from multile computers (no progress). I call the # listed almost every day about 3 times a day and no answer only a mesasage to call back later (no progress). I visited carreer center multiple times and was told they cannot help with that and asked about trainings and services provided and was directed to do from home online (no progress). Thet were very short with me and not much help at all. The website is not very user friendly and still frozen when submitting first claims and not due for next claims and have no way to do so. This is just going in circles wasting alot of time and energy to not even make a stitch of progress. I am hoping this isnt one big farce. If it is a staffing issue I am unemolyed and Hire me.According to research I have done this has been going on for quite sometime now with no progress.Do we need to contact Governor office or News to get anywhere? Any real help would be appreciated

My company has decided to out source our department. We will no longer be employees for them but the new company taking over will continue to use us in the same positions and pay. Our 401k will not be active or kept by this new company. We must roll over ourself into private bank or early draw. There will be a loss in them as the new company does not carry or match percentage as the old company. If I choose not to be employeed by the new company due to this loss of income will I qualify for unemployment?
