Colorado Unemployment Extension - EUC08 Tier 5

Currently, there is no Tier 5 EUC08.

If you use up all of your EUC08 unemployment benefits, there is another type of unemployment extension called Federal-State Extended Duration (FED-ED), more commonly referred to as Extended Benefits (EB). You will only qualify for the EB unemployment extension if you have used up all of your regular unemployment benefits and also used up all of your EUC08 unemployment extension.

If you qualify for the EB unemployment extension you will receive additional benefits equal to 20 weeks or 80% of the maximum benefit amount on the original unemployment claim, whichever amount is less.

I have all of my extended benefits used up and I was wondering if I would qualify for for Tier 5 or even if it is offered?

I just used up all of my Teir 4 benefits and I still have not found work. Do I qualify for Teir 5 fo benefits? Is Teir 5 available for the state of Colorado?

I have used up all my Colorado Tier 4 benefits. I no longer reside in Colorado. Do I apply for State benefits or do I now apply for Extended Benefits?

I have been paying into unemployment since 1978, and in September of 2010 had to draw unemployment for the first time. That ran out last week (I thought that it would run until mid September of this year). I am currently a licensed insurance agent and making about 10 to 15 calls a day to set appointments (part of the business). I have also been applying for part-time jobs as well as higher paying full-time jobs (Home Depot, Lowe's, etc). I will be honest, I have not applied to any fast-food places or other typical minimum wage jobs as I am afraid that if I work full time at those, I will not be able to work full time at a Financial job (my college education). Can I expect extended benefits? I see that there is no Tier 5 benefits as of yet. I'm not quite sure what those are other than sounding like the extension that I just asked about. Please answer soon, and I will continue looking for work.

Thank you.
