Can I begin to collect unemployment benefits, beginning from the date the customer service rep has set for me, though my employer has been sent a letter with the option to appeal?

They have 20 days to appeal the benefits from the date of receipt, but if they do not respond before the set date for me to receive benefits, can I still receive some until the notice comes?

Does Co. Unemployment office notify an employer if a previous employee begins to collect unemployment benefits from this employer but they were laid off from a new employer where they did not work for enough time to get those benefits?

I sold my existing company a couple of years ago at which time my services were no longer required or needed. Am I eligible for unemployment benefits?

What does it mean when your claim status says "approved" on the online My UI Claimant site?

My employer had a shut down for two weeks. I filed my claim on the internet and got confirmation of the file claimed. I got approval for benefits and a pin number. I also called CUBLine for the weeks I claimed, and got text confirmations. However, it's been almost four weeks and have not gotten a check. The phone lines are packed. Is there anywhere online that I can see if there is a delay? If there is a mistake on my part that's causing a delay.

My ex wife fled Colorado with our unborn son 2 years ago. I have a great job in Co for the last 13 years, but desperately need to move to the midwest to spend time with my son.

I know I will have a hard time finding a job due to the current economic situation. However, I desire to be close to my son. Would this qualify for enemployment?

Is receiving unemployment public knowledge? If I file for unemployment and receive payments, could that be publicized in the future? Thank you.

If I am able to find part time work will that affect my unemployment amount. If so, how much? It would be great if I could receive some compensation in addition to my unemployment until I can find full time work.

I was laid off at the conclusion of a federal term position. I didn't apply for unemployment because I had been offered a six-month contract job in another state.
My contract has been extended, but it is "at will" and could end at any time. Also, the contract position is in Minnesota and I want to return to my residence in Colorado.
May I choose to end the contract and still collect unemployment when I get home or is that considered "quitting"?

Claim and payment status showing not Active, was pending approval. Yet under issues still showing pending review? What does this mean? I have submitted my cublines on time and tomorrow 3/26/12 will be 6 weeks and I have not received any benefit payments?

Can your current employer demand that you sign a letter stating I will not seek employment from another business of the same business as you currently work ie two bakeries.
