California Unemployment Application

When you get ready to fill out the CA unemployment application you need to make sure you have set aside plenty of time to complete the application, and you need to be sure that you have all of the information ready that may be requested of you.

You need to know:

1. Your social security number.
2. Your driver's license number.
3. Your last employer's name and address.
4. The dates that you worked at your last employer.
5. The dates of all of the jobs that you have held in the past (This is not always required, but is very helpful to have).

If you are filling out a California unemployment application in person, you will need to take the following items with you:

1. Your social security card.
2. Your driver's license.
3. Last paystub from your previous employer.
4. Any layoff documents your previous employer may have given you.

I was just recently informed that the business that I work for is going under. It hasn't happened just yet but it's just a matter of 1-3 months until I will indefinitely not have a job with this company. Can I apply for unemployment before they officially "lay me off" or do I have to wait until I am officially no longer under employment of the company.

If the unemployment claim form envelope with either damaged or lost, can we mail the form in a different envelope? If not, what action should I take?

I was collecting unemployment and then was hired on with a construction company and been there for about 4 weeks and the boss is on my back all day, over excited and is border line slave driver. I have 7 yrs experience in my trade and he treats me like im green.Im a fast hard worker that is always on time but he is sorta crazy. I am no sissy but dang this is nuts. I wish to go back to collecting my benefits until i find a suitable company with superiors calling their workers pu..y and other unexceptionable name calling. Im here to work and not be abused right?
What are my chances to be accepted back until i get a new job? I believe I made a poor choice in going with this company. Thank you

I don't have all my paystubs. How do I file for unemployment in California without them?
