I received unemployment benefits in 2008, no fault but my own, I over extended my monies from DES , AZ. It was an honest mistake. That being said, I am using my tax refund this year 2012 through the TOP to off set the amount. The question with such irony, I was laid off on Wednesday the 25th, can I claim unemployment now or do I wait on the offset program?? What is my solution, because I will need the money to survive, until I secure a JOB. Thanks Ken

I started a Medical Practice with a.doctor in Arizona. I worked.alone.for 5 months.without any help. This included days beginning a 7am and not getting home until 10pm. I was on call several weekends without pay. And numerious hours without pay. My.boss recently told me he wants me gone. I advised.him November that I.was getting physically sick. He choose to.ignore me. I found out that because I worked up to 12 hours, 7 days a.week that my illness is propbably.stress related. I was terminated by the.doctor because he said he cannot stand me. This man worked so hard for over a year then just fires me. I am sick, no benefits. He.owes me alot of money for all the hours.he.now.denies I worked. he.also.has.alot.of.personal.property. What do I do?

I just found out I got a job. I am signing the offer letter and know a start date. But I won't be starting until next month because of the holidays. Am I still able to claim unemployment until my first paycheck since I need the cashflow? When will my benefits run out exactly? My start date or the date of my first paycheck?

My last job my department was terminated and I was let go. I did not collect any unemployment because of severance pay I received. I took a position in an office with cut in pay, no insurance. I work 35 hrs a week and will be cut down to 20 hours a week from May-August until snowbirds come back. Would I be able to collect unemployment on my claim that I filed before taking this job because of the decrease in hours.

I was laid off and had to take a lump sum pension that I had to have surgery. Now 6 weeks later I am being told i only get 70 a week. I am suppose to get 240. I had received one letter stating that I was denied benefits for that week due to the pension and I called a week ago and was told all was OK. I am going to be home less in 6 weeks and I am not sure how to fight this. Any Help?

My hours at work have been cut in half. I Have been here for 2 years and have always received 40 hours. Now that they have been cut to 20, can I apply for unemployment to supplement some of those missing full-time hours until I can find another job?
