My ex husband is claiming unemployment, but my children and I are not receiving anything. He's been out of work since the end of December, went back of a week and since then the last 3 weeks of January said he's been claiming. In the past a portion would be automatically deposited into our account but I still have not received anything. How can I find out or get assistance on what is going on?

I kept calling all day and after being on hold for over 30 mins multiple times I was hung up on. All phones are busy at ALL times and I've been dealing with this for weeks. I thought the DMV was the worst! Besides this I keep getting letters stating "Waiting on availability and ability for work". I was told a week ago to expect a check this week. After a week of calling every number I can find, I was told today by a desk worker that because I am not sitting on my butt I am bettering myself by going to school full time and still putting I'm fully available for work, that I might not be elegable for unemployment. Why? I am making myself more qualified for work! If a job came along then I'd gladly take it but I am always bettering myself. I was in the military for 8 years and trying to get a civilian job. But this transition is taking longer than expected. It's a program to help people in transition to another job. I need this and I don't see why I can't get help. Any help would be appreciated.

I currently found a part time job. I was told that I could collect partial UI benefits. My partial benefit was delayed because I failed to file an additional claim. Do I need to file an additional claim for every week that I file or was it only a one time thing? I cannot afford any more delays in receiving my UI benefits.

Quit mooching off the system. If you had vacation what are you doing collecting unemployment? That's fraud- in order to collect unemployment you must be able and willing to work at all times, not taking vacation.

I am going to be temporarilly medically retired from the navy. I want to file for unemployment in hawaii but then move to the main land a few days later. Can I file completely online if I am not in hawaii or do I have to file in person on the island? Also I will be going to school, should I expect any problems with that?
